Imagine a child with no gifts under the Christmas tree. In many parts of the country this is reality. Now imagine a shiny new bicycle under that Christmas three. This is now becoming reality too.

Through our Adopt-a-Bike program, the USS Foundation has surprised multitudes of children with a gift they never expected. We have visited ten states so far, and selected schools in the most underprivileged communities. For many children that bicycle was the only gift they received for Christmas.

Our goal is to expand our Adopt-a-Bike program to all 50 states by the end of this decade. Our partners in the loss prevention family, like Lowe’s, Sports Authority, and the LP Foundation have already jumped in to help by sponsoring hundreds of bikes.

Our reward? Seeing the joy in the children’s eyes. Seeing them realize that they are not forgotten, that there are those who care about them.

We are the USS Foundation. And this is what we do.
