While dropping off Thanksgiving dinners at the Fontana Mobile Home Park, USS Foundation Founder Adel Sayegh saw the harsh living conditions of the mobile home park. He witnessed that many of the families had several children living in a small mobile unit and were sharing rooms with siblings or relatives. Having grown up in poverty himself, Adel is familiar with similar living situations and could relate to the children. In that moment Adel felt the need to do more and added each child living in the Fontana Mobile Home Park to the USS Foundation’s list of bike recipients. The Foundation coordinated quickly to get bikes for the 100 eager children. On December 17th, the USS Foundation was able to make the holiday season brighter for the kids at Fontana Mobile Home Park. Members of the USS Foundation delivered over 100 bikes to the kids, none of whom had ever owned a new bike. Deep appreciation for the new bikes could be seen through the tears of joy that were shed as the children received their bikes.
